1. Pay PTA Council dues (due Nov. 1) PTA
Presidents & Treasurer's are notified via email.
2.
Pay MD & National PTA dues ($3.25 per member) monthly
starting in early October. Check
with membership chair & treasurer. Dues
should be sent monthly to MD PTA. (only pay those memberships sold during
the month and continue monthly until March 31 with final payment and
return of unsold membership cards)
3.
Educate yourself & your community on the HCPSS Operating budget
process. Poll your membership so you can testify on behalf of your
PTA at BOE and county budget hearings.

Register early for MD PTA Fall Convention. Visit www.mdpta.org

more information and to register. Each
local PTA deserves the best leadership possible, but we must be
professional in our approach in order to be taken seriously.
Leadership training is a valid expense from the PTA budget
5.
Make plans to observe National Education Week in second week of
November.
