LOOKING FOR A SPEAKER FOR YOUR GENERAL
MEMBERSHIP MEETING?
The Dyslexia Institute of America, located
in Columbia would love the opportunity to present to any interested
PTA groups in Howard County. The
content of the presentation would include:
signs and symptoms of dyslexia, how parents can help,
information and education on types of dyslexia, and in general what
every parent should know about dyslexia.
Contact:
Chris Lee, Dyslexia Institutes of America, 8805 Columbia 100 Parkway,
Suite #105, Columbia, MD 21045
(410) 715-1150
NOTE:
PTA Council is receiving numerous requests to advertise events and
valuable programs for students and PTAs. The Council has not had an
opportunity to spend time verifying the content of many of these
programs, but feel that it is important to get information out to PTAs
and parents so they can make appropriate choices for their children.
To protect our children, please assure that your PTA does appropriate
investigation before sponsoring any of these programs. We are happy to
announce to other PTAs through the FOCUS programs that your PTA is
having that are open to the public. We will NOT include announcements
of promotional programs (pizza sales, fruit sales, etc.) as the main
focus of the PTA is not fund-raising
